About the Role
The role involves assisting the certifying staff during maintenance operations, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist the certifying staff during the performance of maintenance.
- Report to the certifying staff any present defect on the aircraft.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks and aircraft servicing tasks.
- Perform maintenance authorized by the supervisor when they are present for consultation.
- Carry out maintenance tasks to any standard specified in the maintenance data under supervision.
- Notify supervisors of defects or mistakes requiring rectification.
- Perform aircraft towing and pushback including ground to cockpit communication.
- Replenish fuel system, hydraulic fluids, oil, water, and rain repellant.
- Handle aircraft at arrival and departure, including placing cones and wheel chocks.
- Adhere to safety precautions and warnings as directed by the manufacturer.
- Use proper tools during maintenance and maintain their serviceability.
- Control tools in custody during maintenance.
- Draw required tools/materials/components from technical stores as directed.
- Return items used in maintenance to store in normal condition.
- Dispose of expendable items in designated areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Obtain and use applicable instructions for on-aircraft maintenance.
- Comprehend the task to be undertaken prior to commencing maintenance.
- Demonstrate best standard practices in maintenance performance.
- Wear provided safety gear as instructed during maintenance.
Skills
Qualifications
- Valid Aircraft Maintenance license B1/B2
- Valid Medical certificate.
- Experience in a similar role within the aviation industry is a plus.
- Additional certifications related to aircraft maintenance are a plus.
Required Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant parts of operational requirements and procedures including RJA operations specifications.
- Knowledge of quality systems.
- Thorough knowledge of RJA's procedures.
- Knowledge of aviation legislation and Human Factors.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate to an understandable level in English.
Education
Valid Aircraft Maintenance license B1/B2
