About the Role
To safely command and operate Airbus A320 aircraft in accordance with Royal Jordanian Airlines’ Operational Manuals, manufacturer procedures, and applicable national and international aviation regulations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Assume full command responsibility for the safety and security of the aircraft, crew members, passengers, and cargo.

Ensure the aircraft is operated in full compliance with the Operations Manuals
-
Exercise final authority to issue commands necessary to ensure flight safety.

Ensure proper execution of all operational checklists before, during, and after all phases of flight.

Manage and command normal, abnormal, and emergency situations in accordance with approved procedures.

Ensure accurate reporting of operational, technical, and safety-related events.

Lead and manage flight crew, ensuring adherence to SOPs, CRM principles, and Threat & Error Management.

Conduct effective crew briefings and promote a strong safety culture.

Ensure all crew members comply with operational and regulatory requirements.
Skills
Licensing & Medical

Valid and unrestricted ICAO ATPL
-
Valid and current Class 1 Medical Certificate

ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher
Flight Experience – Type Rated (Narrow Body Captain)

Minimum 5,500 total flight hours
-
Minimum 3,000 jet hours
-
Minimum 1,000 hours PIC on jet airliners

Minimum 500 hours PIC on A320
